Description

For now, only text is allowed in messages.

Alternatives should be offered (Markdown, BBCode, smileys, ...). Probably a job for the sfSimpleForum_PayloadFilterChainPlugin.

Editing could take advantage of a WYSIWYG interface 'à la' TinyMCE.
